Which match at AEW Double or Nothing got five and a half stars from Dave Meltzer?

Even before Double or Nothing had gone off the air, it was being hailed as one of the best AEW pay-per-views in recent memory.

In the main event, “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Will Ospreay to win the Owen Hart Cup. Page’s latest step on his path to redemption has earned him a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In Texas.

Hours earlier in the opening match of the night, Mercedes Mone overcame Jamie Hayter to win the women’s tournament, and is already excited at the prospect of facing Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm.

In the event’s other headline bout, Kenny Omega teamed with Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata to defeat The Death Riders and The Young Bucks in another wild instalment of Anarchy Of The Arena.

There were also wins for FTR, The Hurt Syndicate, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Ricochet, Kazuchika Okada, and The Don Callis Family.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer shared his star ratings for the show. The men’s Owen Hart Cup final between Ospreay and Page top-scored with 5.5 stars, while Anarchy in the Arena was also given a five-star rating.
