Dana Brooke Wants 24/7 Title To Become Intercontinental Championship
Dana Brooke believes that the title she’s holding deserves a major makeover.
Brooke joins Bayley in suggesting that WWE’s women’s division should have its own Intercontinental Championship. However, where the two women differ is how to achieve that goal. Bayley’s suggestion was to create a new title. Brooke, on the other hand, thinks it would be better to transform her 24/7 title into the new IC title.
Speaking with Steve Fall on NBC Sports Boston, Dana Brooke explained why she proposes changing her title into something new.
“I’ve been wanting to transition the 24/7 Title into an IC title. I think it would be amazing. We’re building a roster, we have amazing women on the roster. With everyone coming back, why not? We have the tag team titles, but not everyone is teamed up. You have the storylines that are going for the women’s titles, but the rest are just little stories in the mix. Why not go for an IC Title? This way, it’s not secondary, it’s just another thing to pour your heart and soul in and have that title and be given that opportunity and enhance the women’s division.”
The 24/7 title is still seen as a comedy title that can be won by literally anyone. Both men and women have won the title in the past, and it has also been won by non-wrestlers as well. Dana Brooke is currently in her 15th reign as 24/7 Champion.
