Damian Priest Names Most Important Match Of WWE Career
Damian Priest has revealed the key bout of his WWE career so far.
The 41 year-old Judgment Day star has enjoyed an impressive spell since making his main roster debut at Royal Rumble 2021, capturing the WWE United States Championship by defeating Sheamus at Summerslam just eight months later.
Priest joined forces with Edge and Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 38, forming The Judgment Day faction. Edge was removed upon the arrival of new recruit Finn Balor and the unit have gone on to form a major part of WWE programming since with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh also now members of the dominant group.
Balor and Priest are the reigning WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions whilst Priest is the current holder of the Money In The Bank briefcase having beaten the likes of LA Knight and Logan Paul in a terrific ladder match at Money In The Bank in London on 1st July 2023.
During a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co, Priest, however, revealed that his match against music superstar Bad Bunny at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico was his favourite career bout so far:
“I was very proud of that. That was — what that match meant was bigger than any win or loss or wrestling match. It was the representation, and culturally, that was so important to the both of us, Bad Bunny and I.
It hands down is the most important match I’ve had in my career and the one that I’m the most proud of.”
Damian Priest Pleased WWE Tag Team Title Taken Seriously Again

Despite the gruelling encounter ahead, Priest will be pleased that the bout is being featured at WWE’s top Premium Live Event having recently called for the Tag Team titles to be taken seriously again.
