D-Von Dudley Implicates WWE Hall Of Famer In Racism Row

D-Von Dudley

D-Von Dudley was a victim of racism in WWE.

D-Von Dudley and his tag team partner, Bubba Ray Dudley, were joined by ex-WWE star Maven Huffman for an exclusive interview on THE DUDLEY BOYZ POD! During their chat, D-Von revealed that he faced racism in WWE from a top official.

“No, I didn’t experience it when we were together because of the fact that when we got together, we were in ECW, and in ECW, I did not experience it. I experienced it in WWE. I experienced it with certain top officials, though I don’t really want to say any names.”

D-Von Dudley Allegedly Faced Discrimination From Jim Ross Because of His Skin Color

When Bubba Ray pressed him to tell him names, he hinted that it was someone who wore a hat. Maven also dropped a clue as he exclaimed, “Go Sooners!” in reference to Ross’ beloved Oklahoma Sooners. D-Von continued:

“You know, I didn’t wear a ten-gallon hat or anything, but my point was, when a person comes up to you and tells you they don’t like you because of the color of your skin, you sit there thinking, ‘Wow, really? We’re in 1999 or 2000, and you’re still saying cr*p like this?’ There were certain people in that organization in
that time that felt that I should not have said anything, who had the power to basically bury me if need be just because I might have stood up for what I felt was right.”

Team 3D (D-Von Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley) recently had a tag team Tables match against The Hardys at Bound for Glory on October 12, 2025. Unfortunately, D-Von suffered a shoulder injury during the match while he was trying to protect Matt from a rough spot. This match marked the retirement of The Dudley Boyz.
