Crossover WWE Star Done With Company
One WWE talent exchange is over.
During the May 6 episode of NXT, Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura announced that he’s heading back to Japan. In a backstage segment, Inamura said he wished he could have been a better partner for Josh Briggs before confirming his departure.
Inamura joined WWE in November 2024 in a move that solidified the company’s working relationship with NOAH. During this period, Omos went in the opposite direction, but he returned to the United States in January.
New WWE Talent Exchange Underway
While Yoshiki Inamura might be heading back to Japan, a different WWE crossover is just getting started.
During WrestleMania 41 weekend, it was announced that the sports entertainment giant had acquired Mexican promotion AAA. It had already been confirmed that Worlds Collide will return on June 7, featuring talent from the promotion and NXT.
Off the back of the new deal, it’s been revealed that Angel and Humberto will be in action at AAA’s Triplemania Regia event on June 15 in Monterrey. It’s been reported that TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and The Hardys could also appear.
AAA had been hoping to land Penta, Fenix, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Chad Gable.
