Corey Graves Confirmed For AAA Triplemania XXXIII

Corey Graves on WWE SmackDown

Corey Graves is returning to AAA.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Corey Graves will be returning to AAA to head up the English-language broadcast of Triplemania XXXIII.

Graves held the same position at Worlds Collide back in April when he called the action alongside Konnan. Following the show, it was reported that Graves had been heavily praised backstage for his accomplished performance.

At Triplemania, Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano will all change El Hijo del Vikingo for the Mega Championship. Meanwhile, Natalya will face Faby Apace and Lady Flammer in a three-way match for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

The event will be broadcast on WWE’s YouTube channel.

Corey Graves Highly Thought Of Within WWE

Graves began the year at odds with WWE after being demoted from Monday Night Raw to make way for Pat McAfee’s return to the red brand. Following his switch back to NXT, Graves said his dream had been taken away after bosses had decided he wasn’t famous enough to do his job.

The star subsequently missed an NXT taping, but eventually returned. In more recent weeks, Graves has been back on Raw following McAfee’s hiatus due to exhaustion.

This was followed by a report that claimed that backstage figures had sympathy with Corey Graves when he was demoted. That report noted that his versatility and broad skillset can be seen as a “gift and a curse,” and the company knows he can be dropped into any situation and make it work.
