Cora Jade Moves Towards Legal Action Against Ex-WWE Star
Cora Jade has moved towards legal action against a former peer citing defamation.
Jade was signed with WWE from 2021 to 2025, during which she was a regular on NXT.
In her four years with the brand, she became a one-time NXT Women’s Champion with Roxanne Perez, who also became her foe later on.
Cora Jade was one of the superstars who featured on the Stamford promotion’s May 2 release, which also included Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, and Braun Strowman.
Since then, she has made appearances on Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and various indies promotions.
Jade last wrestled on July 13 at Prestige Wrestling, after which she announced a sabbatical to address mental health issues.
During a recent appearance on TMZSports’ Inside the Ring podcast, she confirmed that she had stepped away from the ring, but not retired.
Cora Jade Addresses Bullying Rumors And Lawsuit Against Alexis Lete
Before taking up wrestling in 2022, Alexis Lete had an active sports career and also did some modeling work and pageantry.
Her stint with World Wrestling Entertainment lasted just over a year, as she left the promotion in October 2023 citing lack of passion and potential injury concerns as reasons.
Recently, Lete named Cora Jade as one of the bullies in WWE, which obviously did not sit well with the 24-year-old star.
Jade fired back with a series of tweets, also making it clear that she won’t ever talk about it again.
While on the TMZ podcast, she reiterated her stance, while also revealing that she was pursuing legal action against Alexis Lete.
I said what I had to say. I’m not gonna get into it too much her cuz it’s not worth it to me. Somebody like that, in my opinion, two and a half years later, you’re reaching for something and saying my name in interviews and that’s the only time you’ve ever gotten any sort of relevancy and whatever relevancy is off of my name. So, I’m not gonna give you a single ounce more of it.
I said what I needed to say, and honestly, I didn’t even finish watching the video. I watched half of it and then I sent it to my lawyer. So, it’s getting handled. [20:58 onwards]
Cora Jade had previously claimed that she was body shamed by her WWE bosses. Read about it here.
