Congratulations To WWE’s Corey Graves & Carmella

Corey Graves has reason to celebrate, and it has nothing to do with getting revenge on Brock Lesnar for an attack on WWE SmackDown.

The last time Corey Graves appeared on television was the September 19th episode of WWE SmackDown, when he tried to help his commentary friend Michael Cole from an angry Brock Lesnar.

It was a bad move by Graves because his presence angered Lesnar, who forgot about Cole and attacked Graves instead. Lesnar gave Graves two F5s in the middle of the ring, and Graves has been off television since then.

The reason Graves was taken off television is that his wife, former WWE superstar Carmella, was pregnant with the couple’s second child.

In a wonderful update on the story, Carmella (Leah Van Dale) posted on Instagram that she gave birth to a baby boy named Bram Julian Polinsky.

Corey Graves, who has been a WWE announcer for over a decade, has a large family, having had three children with his first wife. Bram is the second son he has had with the former Carmella. The couple’s first son, Dimitri, was born two years ago.

Why Was Corey Graves Able To Take Brock Lesnar’s F5?

The reason Corey Graves became an announcer is that he was forced to retire as a wrestler due to a history of harmful concussions. However, Graves revealed in 2022 that he had received a doctor’s clearance to compete again if he wishes to.

“I went and spent some time with doctors middle of last year. I kinda got the itch. This is one of the first times I’m saying this publicly. I have been medically cleared to compete. It’s not an immediate goal of mine… but never say never. You can never take the wrestler out of my heart.”

Just because Graves is cleared doesn’t mean he’s going to necessarily again, but he would be able to if he gets the itch to step into the ring one more time.

As for Carmella, she was released by WWE in February 2025 after 12 years with the company. Carmella worked her way up as a manager in NXT to become a wrestler and succeed on the main roster, both on Raw and SmackDown. During her career, she was a former WWE Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Congratulations to Corey Graves, former WWE superstar Carmella, and the entire Polinsky family on their new addition!
