A new update on the upcoming video game AEW Fight Forever notes that while those in the company believe the game will be a success, there are some concerns.

After a long wait for fans, AEW Fight Forever was recently officially announced as the company’s first video game will be released on June 29th.

A video released on AEW Games’ social media account features Kenny Omega officially announcing the game’s launch and release date as well as noting that the game is available for pre-download and pre-order.

Fightful Select has now reported more information on the game, noting that there is a belief in the company that it will be successful as a result of the “playability and multi-player aspect” more than anything else.

However, there is said to be some concern over the limited creation suite in the game as it is not expansive while story mode sees repetitive clothing being worn by other characters.

There did at least seem to be a sense of humor in the company surrounding the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch in the game. There are two options for the finish of that bout, one being a massive and brutal explosion while the other is more reminiscent of the finish of Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley’s bout at Revolution in 2021.

There are plenty of easter eggs said to be in the game which includes “size-based characters and weapons.” It was also noted that while the game was believed to be a one-off release with constant updates, AEW has retained the rights to the game engine should the company wish to bring out further titles in the future.
