Cody Rhodes Reveals WWE Tag Team Name With Randy Orton
Cody Rhodes has suggested a tag team name for Randy Orton and himself that may surprise some people.
In the opening segment of WWE SmackDown in Orlando, the “Oracle” Paul Heyman was in the ring doing a promo where he spoke about a number of different things.
Since Heyman represents the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes interrupted to confront Heyman in the ring. After all, Cody is facing Rollins at Crown Jewel on October 11th in a match where the winner gets the Crown Jewel Championship, which also means they get a ring.
Cody Rhodes did a promo discussing Paul Heyman’s renewed alliance with Brock Lesnar, which Heyman attempted to avoid talking about.
Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed showed up to support Heyman, so Rhodes reminded both guys in The Vision about the kind of guy Heyman is. Rhodes specifically told Breakker that Heyman isn’t going to be loyal to.
Even though he was alone, Cody Rhodes punched Bron and Reed. Cody avoided a splash by Reed. Cody held Reed, looking for Cross Rhodes, but Bron hit a leaping clothesline. Randy Orton’s music hit as The Viper walked down to the ring, and Cody worked over Reed with punches. Orton punched Bron a few times, Bron shoved him, and Orton hit an RKO on Reed. Cody clotheslined Bron out of the ring. Orton picked up the WWE Title, looked at it, and handed it to Cody. They stood tall in the ring.
There was no tag team match announced between Cody & Randy against Bron & Bronson, but perhaps it will happen soon.
As for what the team name is for Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, Cody went on X/Twitter to offer up this name: Candy.

Candy is a combination of Cody and Randy, so it works, even if it’s just a joke of a name. Whether they are officially announced as Candy when they team up seems unlikely, but at least Cody is pushing for it on social media.
Cody Rhodes Thinks Bron Breakker Is The Future Of WWE
The interaction between Cody Rhodes and Bron Breakker was an interesting moment between two second-generation wrestlers who will likely have some big matches in the future. Since Bron is mostly on Raw and Cody is mostly on SmackDown, they haven’t interacted that much yet, but it will likely happen down the road.
During a recent interview, Cody Rhodes spoke about how Bron Breakker was the future of WWE.
“He’s (Breakker) the future of WWE. He’s definitely someone that we are positioning to be there as we go, and I mean main event at WrestleMania potentially, the big-big stuff, win the WWE title all these things.
But watching him be interviewed is fun because it’s a little new to him. So, seeing this guy who barks and spears people at 3 million miles an hour just kind of lock in…it’s so, it’s making my day because I already know. I already know this guy’s probably gonna beat me at some point down the road.”
