Cody Rhodes Wants WWE Legend To Appear At WrestleMania
Cody Rhodes wants ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin to appear at WrestleMania 41.
‘The American Nightmare’ looks set to play a key role when WWE’s top Premium Live Event arrives at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on 19th and 20th April 2025 and he wants the legendary former WWE Champion to make a long awaited return on the card too.
Austin’s last WrestleMania appearance came in his home state of Texas at WrestleMania 38. The veteran Superstar earned rave reviews for his performance in an impromptu main event bout with Kevin Owens at the conclusion of Night One of the annual spectacular, sending fans home with a trademark beer fuelled celebration as the evening came to a close.
Speaking during a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez, Rhodes singled out Austin as the man he would most like to see appear at next year’s edition of WrestleMania, noting that he wanted the opportunity to show ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ how the current roster had followed in his footsteps:
“I would just like him to be around to see how we’re doing.”
“I hope he’s proud of all of us, because he really set the table for all of us, him and The Rock in a way where we can eat so fruitfully, so I’d love Steve to do anything.”
Cody Rhodes Set To Headline Huge WWE Show
Cody Rhodes is no stranger to headlining big WWE shows and looks set to do so again when Saturday Night’s Main Event returns on 14th December.
The popular show is back after a 16 year-absence and is expected to be a star studded affair, with rumours suggesting WWE Hall Of Famer Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura could return in an on-screen capacity.
Legendary wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has also reported that Cody Rhodes will battle Kevin Owens in the main event of the show, which is set to emanate from Long Island, New York’s Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
