Cody Rhodes Addresses Tricky Situation With WWE WarGames Partner
Cody Rhodes is going to war at Survivor Series but he’ll have to do it with an enemy by his side in the form of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
WWE announced that WarGames was returning to Survivor Series as Raw General Manager Adam Pearce grew sick of brawls breaking out involving The Judgment Day. As a result, Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh will do battle with Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins in the double-ring cage match.
However, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins famously do not get along so many have wondered how they will co-exist when tasked with going to war. Speaking to GabbyAF The American Nightmare addressed those issues and says it’s a tricky situation having to team up with his old rival:
Seth Rollins, who him and I absolutely don’t love each other. I don’t know. I don’t have any heat with him but that’s always a tricky situation with Seth. But judging from the main event he just put on for Monday, he’s up to any challenge.
Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Could Be Joined By Familiar Face
Reports have suggested that Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins could be joined in WarGames by a man they both have a checkered past with. Randy Orton is reported to be in WWE’s plans for Survivor Series and is said to have been for some time.
Cody Rhodes was part of Orton’s Legacy group during his early career in WWE. The group which also included Ted DiBiase Jr. eventually exploded which resulted in a triple threat match between the three men at WrestleMania 26.
Randy Orton and Seth Rollins were once aligned as part of the Triple H and Stephanie McMahon led Authority before things fell apart with Orton leaving the group. Orton and Rollins clashed at WrestleMania 31 on the same night Rollins shocked the world by cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase during the main event to leave with the WWE Championship.
