The accolades keep on coming for Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes has landed in the top spot on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s famous PWI 500 list for 2024. Rhodes beat Swerve Strickland into second place, while Will Ospreay was ranked third.

The evaluation period for the award was between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. The list is compiled using several criteria, including win/loss record, success against the highest level of competition, success against the most diverse competition, activity, influence on the spot, and technical ability.

This period coincided with the most successful run of Rhodes’ career. The American Nightmare beat Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Title, won the World Tag Team Titles, won the Royal Rumble, and picked up wins over the likes of Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and more.
