Cody Rhodes Tipped To Drop WWE Title To Ex-World Champion

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Title reign could end very soon.

The American Nightmare recaptured the championship from John Cena at SummerSlam after previously losing it to the Leader of the Cenation at WrestleMania 41.

Rhodes has since defended the title twice against Drew McIntyre and once against Bronson Reed. He will now square off with The Scottish Warrior one more time in a Three Stages of Hell match on the January 9 episode of SmackDown in Berlin, Germany.

WWE Analyst Wants Drew McIntyre To Dethrone Cody Rhodes

On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts addressed the upcoming championship match between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes.

The 42-year-old disclosed that he wants to see The Scottish Warrior finally end The American Nightmare’s Undisputed WWE Championship reign.

I think you got to go big. It’s Berlin. It’s Europe. The crowd is gonna be nuts, especially for Drew. But just in general, the crowd is nuts. I implore the powers that be. This is what I wanna see. I wanna see Drew McIntyre beat Cody Rhodes. You can do it in a Three Stages of Hell with Cody still being the superhero that I want Cody to be. But I’ve got to see one of Drew McIntyre’s plans work all the way. Drew McIntyre is so good at coming up with these plans that at the very end never work. I gotta see on of Drew McIntyre’s plans work. [17:25 onwards]
