Cody Rhodes Surprisingly Appears On WWE RAW, Confronts John Cena

Cody Rhodes unexpectedly appeared on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW.

John Cena returned to Boston tonight for the final time on his retirement tour. After being introduced by the Chief Content Officer, Triple H, the Leader of the Cenation disclosed that he made a few demands to The Game after announcing his retirement, including returning to Boston for one last time.

Cena’s promo, however, was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio. After a war of words between Dirty Dom and The Never Seen 17, Triple H forced the Judgment Day member to defend his Intercontinental Championship against the 48-year-old legend right away.

Despite Dirty Dom hitting Cena with a 619, the former WWE Champion was the one who emerged victorious after countering a frog splash into an Attitude Adjustment. The Leader of the Cenation’s Intercontinental Title win made him a Grand Slam Champion.

Cody Rhodes and John Cena Come Face-To-Face On WWE RAW

After the match, John Cena was met with a standing ovation from WWE Superstars backstage. After greeting his co-workers, the newly crowned Intercontinental Champion found himself face-to-face with his former rival, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

The American Nightmare congratulated Cena on his victory. He explained that he could not miss the 48-year-old’s final appearance in his hometown in Boston.

Cody Rhodes: Congratulations, champ. John Cena’s last time in Boston, won’t miss it.

John Cena: Class act, champ. Thank you.
