Cody Rhodes Segment Announced For WWE Raw On January 15th
With adrenaline in his soul, Cody Rhodes has been announced for a big segment on WWE Raw.
The Royal Rumble is just two weeks away on January 27th, which means there are just two more episodes of WWE Raw & Smackdown before the Rumble arrives.
In the main event of the January 8th edition of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes finally got some revenge against Shinsuke Nakamura by getting a clean win. In the weeks leading up to the match, Nakamura talked about finishing Cody’s story for him while also doing numerous cheap attacks and spraying mist in Cody’s eyes.
Now that Cody has moved on from his rivalry with Nakamura (or so it seems), a commercial that aired during Smackdown in Lincoln stated that Cody will start the January 15th edition of Raw in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Most Cody promos on WWE TV these days begin with him asking the question: “So what do you want to talk about?” After that, he may talk about wanting to win the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row. Since it’s a show opening promo, it could also lead to an interruption by another wrestler or group of wrestlers, which could set up a match later in the show. That has happened MANY times in Raw history over the last 31+ years.
As of this writing, WWE has only confirmed five male wrestlers in the 30-man Royal Rumble match. In addition to Cody Rhodes, there is CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.
What Else Is Happening On WWE Raw In Addition To Cody Rhodes?
In addition to words from Cody Rhodes to start the show, here’s what else WWE is advertising for the January 15th edition of Raw in Little Rock.
* Seth “Freakin” Rollins defends World Heavyweight Title against Jinder Mahal
* The Miz & R-Truth battle Finn Bálor & Damian Priest
* “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh look to make a statement against #DIY
* Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER returns to Raw
CM Punk is not advertised for this episode. Punk is expected to be back on Raw for the January 22nd edition of Raw in New Orleans.
