New Cody Rhodes Rivalry Teased At WWE Live Event

An attack at a WWE Live Event could mean that Cody Rhodes could have a new rival to deal with very soon.

Cody Rhodes has been one of the biggest stars in WWE this year, but he hasn’t had a major rivalry since his feud with Brock Lesnar ended at SummerSlam.

That rivalry between Cody and Brock lasted three PLE events and took four months to finally settle the score. Cody won the first match, Lesnar won the second match and after Cody won at SummerSlam, Lesnar raised Cody’s hand to really put him over as the victor.

At the last WWE Premium Live Event called Payback, Cody was part of a Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment where he announced that Jey Uso would be joining Raw.

This past Monday on WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes came to the aid of Jey Uso after the main event when Jey refused to join The Judgment Day and instead struck them with superkicks. Cody and Jey shook hands to end the show.

Cody Rhodes was attacked by Omos at WWE live event

There was a WWE live event in Palm Springs, California on Saturday night where Cody Rhodes took part in MVP’s VIP Lounge talk show segment with Omos at MVP’s side.

Cody would go on to have a Street Fight with Dominik Mysterio, which Cody won. However, there was a moment in the match where Omos & MVP attacked Cody. In the video below, you can see Omos tossing Cody back into the ring leading to Dominik Mysterio hitting a Frog Splash for a two count.

As for this Monday’s edition of Raw, WWE has already announced that Cody Rhodes is kicking off the show. Whether we see Omos go after him again is unknown right now. Tune in on Monday on Raw to find out.
