Cody Rhodes Vows To Be Ready For The Rock’s WWE Return

The Rock Cody Rhodes WWE

Cody Rhodes is embroiled in a heated feud with The Bloodline once again and he’s not forgotten about what The Rock told him after WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes finished his story when he defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40 but that was far from the whole story being told in WWE.

The Rock looked like he was going to take Rhodes’ place against Reigns at WrestleMania before fan backlash made WWE backtrack on that idea. Instead, The Rock joined Reigns in The Bloodline and defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of night one of WrestleMania.

After all was said and done, The Rock made clear he still had his sights set on Rhodes and many believe those two men will be the main event of WrestleMania 41 in 2025.

Cody Rhodes Keeping Eyes Peeled For The Rock

Speaking on The Pivot Podcast, Cody Rhodes discussed when he could find himself standing across the ring from The Rock again and says whenever it happens, he’ll be ready:

The Rock told me he’d see me when he comes back. My head has been on a swivel every day since the day after WrestleMania, for the Final Boss, as the Rock goes by now, for when his music hits. I’ll be in the same spot I was and I’ll be ready for him.

If he comes in like he did for WrestleMania, he’ll be doing the whole ‘Oh I finally got off, I’ve been so busy’, dude was on like a three-month training camp, he was dialled in, so I will be dialled in myself. If I could give you a guess, I feel like, I hope it happens in the next year.

Before then Cody Rhodes will join Kevin Owens and Randy Orton at Money In The Bank in a huge six-man tag team match as they take on Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
