Cody Rhodes has reacted to a former Champion’s return to WWE.
The September 23 edition of NXT witnessed the long-rumored invasion by TNA come to pass.
The stage was set for the incident last week on NXT Homecoming after a “Winner Take All” match was finalized between NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA Champion Trick Williams.
Several TNA superstars had expressed their displeasure on social media, with reports of them showing up at the Performance Center looking like a possibility.
During the Tuesday main event, several wrestlers from Total Nonstop Wrestling stormed the ring, causing chaos and confusion.
Even Shawn Michaels was forced to speak about it after being left unhappy with the situation.
The winner of the Oba Femi vs. Trick Williams match was scheduled to defend the NXT title against Ricky Saints at No Mercy on September 27.
With the match ending in a no result, and Oba retaining his championship, he will face Saints on Saturday.
Cody Rhodes Reacts To Matt Cardona’s Appearance On NXT
Among the TNA stars, one unmissable personality was Matt Cardona.
Even before the show began, he was spotted eyeing Oba Femi outside the arena.
After the event, Cardona took to social media to share his thoughts about his first WWE appearance since being released in 2020.
