Massive Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton Match Announced For WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes will be in action on SmackDown.

At Crown Jewel, Cody Rhodes will face Seth Rollins as the two World Champions battle to become the Crown Jewel Champion.

Since the match was made, The Vision has repeatedly clashed with Rhodes, most notably on SmackDown. After Rhodes confronted Paul Heyman, Bronson Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked Rhodes, before Randy Orton made the save.

On the following episode of Raw, Seth Rollins seemingly claimed that he was the one responsible for Brock Lesnar linking back up with Paul Heyman. As Rhodes and Rollins came face to face, the World Heavyweight Champion said that “every decision goes through me.”

Randy Orton Will Team With Cody Rhodes

In a surprise video on social media, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis said he’d been in touch with his Raw counterpart, Adam Pearce, to make a huge tag team match. On October 3, Cody Rhodes will team with Randy Orton to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

“Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker seem to enjoy getting involved in other people’s business as of late. And having just wrapped up a phone call with my esteemed colleague, Adam Pearce over at Monday Night Raw, we agreed that they can get involved in my business this Friday night on SmackDown.”

Randy Orton’s wife recently hit out at WWE for allegedly overlooking her husband. Kim Orton shared a post on social media with the caption “You ain’t wrong” that claimed Randy had been disrespected after not being used at several important events, Raw’s Netflix premiere, and WWE’s debut with ESPN with Wrestlepalooza.
