Cody Rhodes Pleads With WWE Fans To Trust Him
Cody Rhodes has the chance to challenge for a world title at WrestleMania 40 but it seems WWE fans will only accept one match for The American Nightmare.
Cody Rhodes won the men’s Royal Rumble for the second time at Tropicana Field to guarantee himself a main event match at WrestleMania 40.
Rhodes missed out on defeating Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 so a rematch against Reigns was what everybody expected for Rhodes to finish his story. So much so that when Cody Rhodes won the Rumble, he pointed to a watching Roman Reigns shouting “You! You! Roman Reigns” to make it very clear that he wanted to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania.
However, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins put doubt in Rhodes’ head indicating he wanted Rhodes’ challenge instead. That led to Rhodes bringing out The Rock to challenge Roman Reigns on SmackDown but fans were not happy.
Does Cody Rhodes Have WrestleMania Plan?
Support for Rhodes led to a huge backlash against The Rock and it seems WWE might be listening as nothing is yet official for WrestleMania. A huge press conference is scheduled for the 8th of February where things might become clearer.
Cody Rhodes didn’t give an answer to what his WrestleMania match will be on Raw but he has now taken to social media in response to fan support and he urges his following to trust him indicating something could be in the works that might lead him back to Reigns:
Appreciate the passion, God bless y’all …but Trust me

On Raw, Cody Rhodes took on Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bullrope Match with Rhodes picking up the win. After the match, he was taken out by Drew McIntyre who had interrupted Rhodes’ face-to-face with Rollins earlier in the night.
