Cody Rhodes has once again shown why he is beloved by fans around the world after making a heart-warming gesture at a WWE Live Event.

‘The American Nightmare’ is renowned for his caring approach with fans and enhanced that reputation with a remarkably kind action following a bout with Shinsuke Nakamura in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday 4th February.

Rhodes addressed the crowd after securing victory over the villainous Japanese Superstar in a street fight and quickly pointed to the rear of the audience, highlighting a sign being held by a fan stating ”LEGALLY BLIND BUT TRYING TO SEE CODY RHODES”.

The kind-hearted 38 year-old promised the fan he could go one better in a moment that has since been immortalized with a clip that has gone viral on social media.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion summoned the fan to ringside for a hug, before signing a piece of table used in the evening’s main event for the delighted as a special memento.

Rhodes has built up a reputation for selfless acts with members of the WWE fan base, recently receiving praise after gifting a group of young fans tickets and hotel accommodation for WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes Main Event Snub Causes Fan Backlash

Despite winning the Royal Rumble on 27th January, it seems that Cody Rhodes could be set to miss out on the main event of WrestleMania 40 following the shock return of The Rock on the 2nd February edition of SmackDown.

Whilst yet to be confirmed, the decision to remove Rhodes from a potential bout with Roman Reigns at WWE’s biggest Premium Live Event has drawn widespread criticism with PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reporting that WWE are keeping a close eye on the backlash before solidifying plans.
