Cody Rhodes has given something special to a group of young WWE fans.

It was one year ago at WrestleMania 39 when Cody Rhodes main evented WrestleMania for the first time.

While Cody didn’t “finish his story” by becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, he went on to have perhaps the greatest year of his career since he received many accolades as WWE’s Superstar of the Year.

At the KIPP AMP Middle School in Brooklyn, a group was created by educator Victor Taylor Perry called The Wrestling Club. It’s a club where students who are pro wrestling fans get together and watch wrestling as a group to share their love of the business.

In November, Perry started a fundraiser to try to raise the funds to get the group to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.

When a member of the group asked people to buy popcorn or making a donation, Cody Rhodes heard about the fundraiser and went on to share some wonderful news with the group. Cody let them know that he would get their tickets and hotel to attend WrestleMania 40.

“I could buy a bunch of popcorn or I could just tell ya’ I’ve got your tickets and hotels You’re going to Wrestlemania 40!”

The Wrestling Club Reacts To Cody Rhodes’ Generous Gift

In a video posted by Victor Taylor Perry on Twitter/X, he told the kids that they were going to WrestleMania 40 thanks to Cody Rhodes and as you might expect, the kids were really excited about it.

Cody also responded to the video by writing: “I love it. Can’t wait to meet you all. Now let’s go finish the story!”

Cody Rhodes has announced that he will be in the Men’s Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble on January 27th where he will once again try to take that next step to finish the story. And when he gets to WrestleMania 40, he’ll definitely have The Wrestling Club on his side.
