Cody Rhodes does not want to turn heel in WWE.

The American Nightmare returned to the Stamford promotion at WrestleMania 38 as a babyface and has maintained the persona ever since.

In his three years of the second stint with the company, Rhodes has won the Undisputed WWE Championship, lost it, and reclaimed it, becoming the two-time champion.

His Street Fight match for the title against John Cena on Night 2 of the SummerSlam PLE earned plaudits from critics.

World Wrestling Entertainment begins its UK Tour on Friday, August 22, with the SmackDown taping in Dublin, Ireland, leading to Clash in Paris on August 31.

Initially, the UK advertisements showed Cody Rhodes as a part of the tour, but he was erased from the subsequent promotions.

Drew McIntyre, who viciously attacked the 40-year-old during the August 8 SmackDown episode, accused WWE of covering up his injury. There have been no official reports suggesting that Rhodes is injured.

Only time will tell whether or not Rhodes becomes a last-minute addition to the star-studded Clash in Paris lineup.

Cody Rhodes Has No Interest In A Heel Turn

For a few months, reports have run rampant about Cody Rhodes turning heel.

However, it’s been babyface Rhodes after every taping.

On the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, he discussed his thoughts with Becky Lynch, who was the guest and currently a top heel on the promotion.

Lynch explained how it was all about the business, wherein the babyface always comes out on top. So, usually it is the heel that has to step aside.

No, you’re right on all these metrics, on all of these measurables. I just, I don’t have any interest (in being the bad guy), Rhodes said. [1:05:41 onwards]

Cody Rhodes also discussed bringing back a character many consider his lowest point in his WWE career.
