Cody Rhodes Breaks WrestleMania Record
The good news keeps on coming for Cody Rhodes.
At WrestleMania 40, the most beloved babyface in recent WWE history finally climbed to the top of the mountain, and can now call himself Undisputed WWE Champion.
Cody Rhodes’ emotional win over Roman Reigns will be remembered for decades, not only by the man himself but by fans around the world.
To cap off an incredible weekend, it’s now been reported by Fightful Select, that between WWE World and Shop, Rhodes sold over $1 million in merchandise. The figure surpassed his own record from WrestleMania 39.
Ahead of WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes revealed he’d signed a new contract with WWE to take him beyond his 40th birthday.
Cody Rhodes Comes Face To Face With The Rock
While Rhodes ended WrestleMania with World Championship gold, he certainly did it the hard way. His match with Roman Reigns on night two was packed with outside interference and was essentially all-out chaos. But even before that, he was pinned by The Rock in a huge tag team match on night one.
On Raw, The Rock confronted Cody Rhodes, at first congratulating the new champion, before warning that their story is only just beginning. However, fans will have to wait for the clash, as Rock admitted he was going away for a while.
