Cody Rhodes Behind Jacob Fatu’s Attack? Answer Given On WWE SmackDown
The hunt for Jacob Fatu’s mysterious attacker continued on tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
A couple of weeks ago, The Samoan Werewolf was scheduled to battle Drew McIntyre in a number-one contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Nevertheless, Fatu was mysteriously attacked backstage, which resulted in the bout getting canceled.
While The Scottish Warrior demanded to be announced the winner and the new number-one contender for Cody Rhodes’ title, the latter interrupted and accused McIntyre of attacking Fatu. He then decided to defend his championship against the former World Heavyweight Champion on the spot. The match, however, ended in McIntyre’s victory via disqualification after the champion hit him with the title belt.
Cody Rhodes Denies Attacking Jacob Fatu On WWE SmackDown
Last week on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre suggested Jimmy Uso might have been behind Jacob Fatu’s attack while insisting on his innocence.
As SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis continued his investigation into the attack on The Samoan Werewolf tonight, he asked Cody Rhodes if he was behind the ambush.
The American Nightmare denied that he was, pointing out that he liked Fatu.
No, I liked Jacob. Sorry about what happened.
