CM Punk Promotes Upcoming Match In Unique Way

CM Punk

CM Punk had some interesting comments regarding an upcoming WWE match.

It has been nearly ten years since CM Punk has wrestled a match in WWE, but that long stretch is about to come to an end.

Earlier this week, it was announced that CM Punk would be in action against The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio on December 26th at Madison Square Garden in New York City and December 30th in Los Angeles (Inglewood), California at the KIA Forum.

While CM Punk returned to WWE in November at Survivor Series, he also does commentary work for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Punk was on commentary for Friday’s CFFC 128 event in Atlantic City where he offered up these interesting comments about “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio.

“Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re out there on the 30th, you better be watching some grappling. Unless you’re in LA, come out to the Kia Forum, watch me beat up Dirty Dominik. I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was 8 years old. Now he’s legal and I’m going to destroy him.”

What CM Punk was referring to was his memorable feud with Rey Mysterio in 2010 when Punk was a heel while Rey was a babyface. In the storyline, Rey’s family was involved including his wife Angie, son Dominik and daughter Aaliyah with Punk doing his best to get heat with his comments at the time. That’s why Punk joked about wanting to punch Dominik since he was a kid.

CM Punk Declared For The 2024 Royal Rumble

On the December 11th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, CM Punk officially declared for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Punk was also confronted by the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who made it clear to Punk that he didn’t like the straight edge superstar.

That appearance on Raw also was the night when Punk officially signed with the Raw brand to become an exclusive superstar on the red brand.
