CM Punk In Strange Race With WWE Legend Batista

CM Punk WWE

CM Punk is keeping busy outside of the ring.

At WrestleMania 41, CM Punk achieved his dream of competing in the main event of WWE’s biggest show of the year. However, that dream had turned into a nightmare by the time the show went off the air.

Although he walked into his match against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman in his corner, he was left all alone when all was said and done.

In the final stages, Heyman managed to betray both Punk and Reigns to align with Rollins and help him to victory.

But despite that in-ring setback, things are looking up for Punk in other areas of his professional life as he looks to build his acting career.

CM Punk Working Movie Projects Around WWE

In a new interview with Deadline, Punk discussed his acting career and two very exciting projects that will be released before the end of 2025.

“I have pre-existing relationships and projects I work on that are grandfathered into my [WWE] contract. I typically do Monday Night Raw live on Netflix every week. But if I need to dip out for two weeks to shoot an independent film, I can always do that. We’re trying to petition Netflix to do a third season of Heels.

I have two projects coming down the line that I’m very excited about. One is the TV show Revival that will air on Syfy, and a really, really fun movie called Night Patrol, written and directed by Ryan Prows. I don’t want to give away too much but it’s Night Patrol, LAPD, Bloods, Crips, vampires.”

When asked whether he’d be open to appearing in a romantic comedy, Punk said that not only would he love to, he’s in a race with ex-WWE star Dave Batista to land a role in one first.

“I would love to do that. Me and Dave Bautista are trying to do a rom-com, maybe not together, but it’s a race. He really wants to do one, and I really want to do one too. Dave and I are two emotional b**ches. We would absolutely kill that genre, guaranteed, him especially. I’m dying to work with him. What if we were romantically involved? Who’s not going to pay to see that?

Speaking elsewhere, CM Punk said he was surprised to read comments from Triple H about a negative reaction to his creative direction. After The Game claimed Punk had openly said he disliked one particular plan, which was ironed out, the Raw star said he had no idea what his boss was talking about.

He went on to reiterate that his relationship with Triple H had improved dramatically since his last run with WWE ended.
