CM Punk Teases Stipulation For WWE WrestleMania 41 Match
CM Punk spoke about his WrestleMania 41 match while teasing the idea that there could be more on the line than just a victory.
Following the chaotic interaction between CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble, it seemed as though the three WWE legends were on a collision course.
The issue escalated further when Seth Rollins gave CM Punk the dreaded Stomp inside the Elimination Chamber to cost Punk that match.
When Rollins faced Punk in a Steel Cage Match on Raw, Roman Reigns returned to WWE TV after over a month away and took out both guys while helping Rollins win the match in controversial fashion.
At WWE SmackDown in Bologna, a wild brawl between Punk, Rollins and Reigns led to the official announcement that will see Rollins, Punk and Reigns compete at WrestleMania 41. It will be CM Punk’s first WrestleMania match in 13 years.
CM Punk Will Be Looking At Fine Print During WWE Contract Signing
While standing in the ring at WWE Raw in Glasgow, CM Punk appeared on the show to address his issues with Rollins and Reigns, both of whom were not there. Punk claimed that the more things change, the more they stay the same because he works with children. Punk said that Seth Rollins is a “diaper piss baby” that screwed Punk at Elimination Chamber, which doesn’t get Punk what he wants. Punk stated matter of factly that it’s become simple math. Punk said that the two men that are standing in his way gotta go.
As he continued, Punk talked about how Rollins has been crying ever since Punk got back to WWE. Punk said that Roman Reigns is taking this personally because he sees in real time that his “wise man” (Paul Heyman) isn’t just Roman’s wise man.
It was then revealed by Punk that this Friday on Smackdown in London, they will have an old-fashioned contract signing. The fans booed, so Punk said that they were booing because they wanted it here and he wanted it here too.
That was when Punk said something very interesting by stating that he wants to read the fine print to see if this match gets him any closer to what he wants or if it will be just a rug pull from the powers that be. What Punk has wanted is a shot at the WWE Title or the World Heavyweight Title, which suggests that the Punk-Rollins-Reigns match could be a #1 Contender’s Match for a shot at a World Championship.
There were two final points that Punk needed to make. Punk said that neither of them has ever defeated Punk without the other one’s help because they can’t do it.
Punk said that the last thing is that he brought them into this business and he cannot wait to take them both out of it. Punk said “Best in the world” to end it.
What Punk was referring to at the end is that it was Punk’s idea to create the stable known as The Shield in late 2012, which was Rollins, Reigns, and Dean Ambrose. Punk actually wanted Chris Hero in the group instead of Reigns, but WWE wanted Reigns in there and obviously, it worked out.
