CM Punk Screws Almost Everyone At WWE Money In The Bank
Damian Priest clashed with Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Money In The Bank but once again it was CM Punk that stole the headlines.
For the first time since a hugely emotional WrestleMania 40 weekend, Seth Rollins returned on Raw in Corpus Christi and was quick to explain that the reason he was back was to win back his World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins was set to enter the Money In The Bank ladder match to earn that title shot but Damian Priest went one better.
The World Heavyweight Champion told Rollins he’d give him a shot at the title at the Money In The Bank event instead. Rollins thought this might be a trap involving The Judgment Day but Priest told Rollins the group didn’t know about his decision and the match was made.
On Raw in Indianapolis, Damian Priest made another decision without his group being aware. Priest and Rollins had a back-and-forth in the ring when they came to make a “gentleman’s agreement” for their title match.
If Damian Priest wins then Seth Rollins will not get another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship while Priest is the champion but if Rollins wins the gold, then Priest will have to leave The Judgment Day. Priest agreed to those terms by noting about The Judgment Day “They need me a lot more than I need them.”
That led to further friction in the group that is being further exacerbated by Liv Morgan’s relentless pursuit of Dominik Mysterio with Finn Balor and JD McDonagh ready to accept Morgan after she helped them capture the World Tag Team Championship.
CM Punk Screws Drew McIntyre & Seth Rollins
At Money In The Bank, Drew McIntyre captured the briefcase ensuring a title shot increasing the pressure on the champion but regardless he reiterated to The Judgment Day he didn’t want any of them involved, something Finn Balor didn’t seem too happy with in the slightest.
Rollins and Priest were engaged in a back-and-forth contest before Rollins nailed his superplex into a Falcon Arrow that got a two count despite it looking suspiciously like Priest did not kick out. That brought out Drew McIntyre who immediately cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to turn the bout into a triple threat affair.
With no disqualifications in a triple threat match, there are no prizes for guessing what happened next. CM Punk appeared and wore McIntyre out with a steel chair, costing him yet another chance to become World Heavyweight Champion as he nailed McIntyre with the title belt. Damian Priest nailed McIntyre with a South of Heaven chokeslam to pick up the win.

Drew McIntyre now joins the likes of John Cena, Damian Sandow, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, and Austin Theory as those who have failed to win the title after cashing in Money In The Bank.
Punk’s interference also screwed Seth Rollins, who per the stipulation of the match will not get another shot at the World Heavyweight Title while Priest is champion. Corey Graves intervened to stop Seth Rollins from getting in the face of Punk as the bad blood continued to boil over between those men.
