CM Punk Has Extensive WWE Wishlist

CM Punk WWE Raw Tape

CM Punk has revealed an extensive wishlist of WWE opponents.

The Chicago native made a surprise return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 and looked set to feature immediately in main event level feuds for the company before being forced into an extended absence from the ring after suffering a torn triceps muscle during the 2024 Royal Rumble match.

The former WWE Champion managed to remain a focal point of weekly WWE television, however, thanks to a captivating rivalry with Drew McIntyre. The pair went back and forth for months on social media and on the microphone before embarking upon a trilogy of bouts which culminated in Punk securing victory over ‘The Scottish Warrior’ in a brutal Hell In A Cell match at WWE Bad Blood on 4th October.

With Punk now back to full health, he is looking forward to more in-ring outings and seemingly has his eyes set on a select few preferred opponents. Speaking during a recent appearance on ‘Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg‘, the ‘Second City Saint’ revealed the bucket list of Superstars that he wished to share the squared circle with now that he is fit for action:

“The list is pretty lengthy. I think Chad Gable is on the top of the list. I think Bronson Reed is on the top of the list. [Ludwig] Kaiser is somebody I see a lot in — I think it’d be fun. Gunther, and I’m selfishly talking about guys that I would love to wrestle on house shows.

I think whenever myself and Roman Reigns are face-to-face on television, I think that’s going to be a moment. I think the table is set for myself and Cody [Rhodes]. You never know when The Rock’s going to come back.”

CM Punk Keen On One Final Bout With John Cena

CM Punk saved one huge name for last on his wishlist, 16-time World Champion, John Cena.

The legendary Superstar has confirmed that he will bring the curtain down on a memorable career at the end of 2025 with Punk keen to engage in one last battle with his former foe before he says farewell:

“And there’s big match John [Cena] coming right around the corner, another guy that I don’t want to talk about because he’s going to do his own thing, and if I’m a part of that, what a fortunate career I’ve had. But yeah, I’d love to get hands on him too.”
