CM Punk Wants To Cross Paths With The Rock Once Again

The Rock and CM Punk face-off on WWE Raw

CM Punk is open to rekindling his rivalry with The Rock.

At the beginning of 2013, CM Punk was riding high as the then-longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. However, that reign was brought to a screeching halt by The Rock at that year’s Royal Rumble. That night, The Great One defeated Punk for the title before going on to lose it to John Cena at WrestleMania 28.

In the past, Punk has been open about having fun working with The Rock during their feud, and now that they’re both back in WWE, it looks like he wants them to meet again.

Speaking in a WWE Digital Exclusive, the Second City Saint said he was glad The People’s Champion was back in the company before taking a jab at him for keeping “his mouth shut.” According to Punk, anything goes in the current era of the company, and he expects to cross paths The Rock, and everybody else, sooner or later.

“I’m glad. With confidence and perspective, I’m glad Rock’s back. It’s good to see that he knows his role and he’s kept his mouth shut.

“Anything goes here in this new era of WWE. Me being back, I’m gonna cross paths with everybody sooner or later.”

CM Punk Confirmed For WrestleMania 40

While currently out with injury, CM Punk has revealed that he will be part of WrestleMania 40. On the March 25th edition of Raw, Drew McIntyre suggested that Punk act as the guest commentator for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins.

With Punk having issues with both men, he was all too happy to accept the invitation, adding another volatile element to the title match.
