Claudio Castagnoli Names WWE Star He Wants To Join AEW

Claudio Castagnoli thinks one WWE star would be a tremendous asset for AEW.

Castagnoli enjoyed a lengthy career with WWE, often being seen as one of the most underrated performers in the company. Known as Cesaro, the star won a number of singles and tag team titles but ultimately fell short of winning the World Championship.

The Swiss star eventually left WWE in February 2022 after his contract expired, however, it wouldn’t be long until he signed with AEW.

Speaking in a new interview with Wrestle Talk, Castagnoli named Sheamus as someone he would like to see AEW, explaining what makes him so good in the ring.

“[Mock groans, laughs] I’m just kidding. I love him. I love Sheamus. He’s awesome. Any company that has him has a tremendous asset. He’s just an absolute workhorse.

One of the hardest workers in and outside the ring that I know. Absolute maniac in the best sense of the word. So I think it’s always, whatever is best for my friends, for them, and it’s also just fun to see what will happen. But yeah, love Sheamus,”

Claudio Castagnoli Teamed With Sheamus In WWE

Sheamus and Claudio Castagnoli were rivals turned tag team partners in WWE, famously clashing in a Best of Seven series in 2016. The pair went on to team as The Bar, winning the Raw Tag Team Titles four times, and SmackDown gold once.

While Castagnoli currently competes for AEW, Sheamus has been out of action since August with a reported shoulder injury.
