Clarity Over WWE Plans For Clash At The Castle

WWE boss Triple H

For some time now WWE has given press conferences following its premium live events but it seemed that might be changing at Clash at the Castle.

Clash at the Castle will take place live on June 15th from Glasgow, Scotland as Drew McIntyre challenges Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. The Judgment Day will be banned from ringside for the match but McIntyre will no doubt have to keep one eye open for CM Punk. CM Punk has vowed to break McIntyre’s heart but the Scottish Warrior has warned Punk what might happen if he gets involved in Glasgow.

Bayley will also face a hostile environment in Glasgow as she puts her WWE Women’s Title on the line against Piper Niven on the show. Two more Scottish stars will also have the chance to win gold as the Unholy Union of Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn will challenge Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title alongside Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler in a huge triple threat match.

WWE Still Holding Press Conference For Clash at the Castle

WWE has been advertising a post-show event that will begin immediately after Clash at the Castle ends with reports suggesting the company could be making a change to its now traditional post-show press conference.

John Pollock of Post Wrestling, however, noted that a press conference will still be taking place with the post-show an addition to WWE’s offering:

We inquired about the status of a post-show press conference at Clash at the Castle this weekend A WWE spokesperson tells me that the press conference is happening and they have also added a post-show

WWE will hold a pre-show event on June 14th which will take place in Glasgow before the city streets empty as Scotland’s men’s football team opens Euro 2024 against the hosts, Germany.
