Christian Cage Renames AEW Stars On Dynamite
Christian Cage was on the losing side of things at AEW Full Gear and he made it very clear on Dynamite just who he blamed for that loss.
Cage teamed with Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne at Full Gear to take on the dream trio of Darby Allin, Sting, and Adam Copeland. The TNT Champion ended up running through the crowd to escape the wrath of Copeland, leaving his teammates to fall to defeat with Luchasaurus getting pinned. Sting gave his thanks to the LA crowd after his last match in the city before his retirement in 2024.
On AEW Dynamite in Chicago, Christian Cage was not happy. He came to the ring with Wayne and Luchasaurus and blamed the former AEW Tag Team Champion for the Full Gear loss. Luchasaurus proved reluctant as Christian Cage told him to take a knee which he ultimately did before Cage told him that he was renaming him Killswitch.
Nick Wayne was more eager to take a knee but as he did so, Cage told him to stand up before showering Wayne with love and telling him that he’d now be known as ‘The Prodigy’ Nick Wayne.
Adam Copeland Stops Christian Cage’s Sickening Plan
Nick Wayne’s mother Shayna then came to the ring to try and get her son to see sense but as Cage berated her and Wayne’s late father, Luchasaurus stood between them to get the TNT Champion to stop. An irate Cage shoved Luchasaurus which sent him crashing into Shayna Wayne.
Cage then told Nick Wayne to get chairs and appeared set to deliver a con-chair-to to Wayne’s mother before telling a reluctant Luchasaurus he had to do it. Adam Copeland thankfully made the save and ended up delivering a con-chair-to to Nick Wayne.
