Chris Jericho Names Tag Team He Wants The Golden Jets To Face

Chris Jericho has an AEW tag team in mind for his tag team with Kenny Omega.

The Golden Jets tag team consists of former AEW World Champions Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega. The reason for that name is because they are both from the city of Winnipeg and the NHL team in that city are the Jets. It’s also a reference to the Golden Lovers tag team that Omega has with Kota Ibushi.

At AEW Full Gear, The Golden Jets duo of Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega defeated Omega’s close friends The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a match where Omega won with the One Winged Angel.

That Full Gear victory for Omega & Jericho means that they will get an AEW Tag Team Title match that belonged to The Young Bucks. If Jericho & Omega lost then they would never be allowed to team together again.

What AEW Tag Teams Do Chris Jericho And The Golden Jets Want To Face?

When it comes to AEW tag teams, Chris Jericho told the Dallas Morning News that former AEW Tag Team Champions FTR were a team that The Golden Jets wanted to face.

“We’ve got a lot of stuff going on with the Golden Jets with Big Bill and Ricky Starks, and Will Hobbs and Takeshita.”

“And I’d love to have a match with FTR. That’d be great. I’ve never done a tag team match against them before. I think Jets versus FTR would be amazing. So there’s kind of a lot of matches in the chamber that you could have with Kenny and I before we decide to go to the next step.”

Since their match with The Young Bucks at Full Gear, Jericho & Omega haven’t been on television that much over the last month due to AEW focusing their TV shows on the Continental Classic tournament.
