Chris Jericho Stopped Ex-WWE Star From Fighting Triple H Backstage

Triple H and Chris Jericho face off

A former WWE star has revealed that he has Chris Jericho to thank for stopping them from getting into a heated confrontation with Triple H.

Triple H might now be WWE Chief Content Officer with the controls of the company at his fingertips, but once upon a time, he was famed for putting himself over at the expense of just about everyone he had to share a locker room with.

When he joined the company, he immediately struck up a friendship with The Kliq, a group that used their strength in numbers to get what they wanted in WWE. And it seems those lessons lasted long in the mind of The Game.

Chris Jericho Talks WWE Star Out Of Confronting Triple H

Speaking on Cafe de Rene, former WWE US Champion Mr Kennedy revealed how Triple H went to great lengths to bury him in front of anyone that would listen backstage:

I was starting all my promos, and I was saying something like, ‘I am the future of sports entertainment.’ I came back through the curtains and I remember specifically, he was standing there, and I was like, ‘Did you happen to see that? Can you give me any advice?’ And he was like, “Oh man, I’m sorry, I didn’t catch you.’

And then a guy pulled me aside, and he was like, ‘Man he was f**king burying you while you were out there dude. He was burying you in front of everybody. When you said that thing about being the future of sports entertainment, he was like, ‘Well boys, better f**king save your paychecks, if that’s the future of sports entertainment.’ And I remember like, I was f**king hot.

However, before Mr Kennedy could confront Triple H about his comments, Chris Jericho reminded Kennedy that it wouldn’t be the smartest idea, given Triple H’s connections both in and out of the ring:

He was like, ‘Listen. That guy has Sunday Brunch with the boss every week. Don’t do it.’
