Chris Jericho Picks Partner To Challenge For AEW Tag Team Titles

Chris Jericho AEW

Chris Jericho had a reunion with an old friend on AEW Rampage and in Kenny Omega’s absence, looks to be going for gold with them.

Kenny Omega is out of action indefinitely after the former AEW World Champion confirmed he was suffering from diverticulitis. That came after Jericho and Omega looked set to cash in their shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship at Worlds End against Big Bill and Ricky Starks.

Initially, it seemed Chris Jericho was set to find a new partner for that show to take on Starks and Bill but plans changed and instead, a huge eight-man tag team match is now set for Worlds End featuring Sting.

Chris Jericho Reconciles With Sammy Guevara

On Dynamite in Orlando, Florida, Sammy Guevara returned to the show where Don Callis was handing out gifts to his Family. Guevara took exception to apparently not being called by Callis after suffering a concussion and was furious when Callis revealed a portrait of The Don Callis Family that included Guevara’s newborn child.

After The Spanish God shoved Callis to the mat, he was attacked by Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Kyle Fletcher which brought out Chris Jericho to attempt to save his former friend. Big Bill and Ricky Starks then appeared which led to Sting and Darby Allin making the save.

On AEW Rampage, Jericho and Guevara addressed their issues as Guevara had previously turned on Jericho to join Callis’ crew. After apologising to one another, Chris Jericho told Guevara that he could team with him to challenge for the AEW Tag Team Championship when that title match takes place. When that will happen remains to be seen.
