Chris Jericho Names Greatest Wrestling Commentary Team Of All Time
One of the best of all time to ever step inside the ring, Chris Jericho has named who he believes is the ‘Greatest’ Wrestling Commentary Team in history.
Chris Jericho has one of the most incredible legacies in professional wrestling, making his debut in 1990 and working around the world for the largest companies including WWE, WCW, AEW, and New Japan.
The former Undisputed WWE Champion’s matches have been described to viewers by a who’s who of commentators including Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, and Tony Schiavone.
But whilst the rock star is using his experience to help develop talent in AEW, he has been reflecting on who he feels is the best commentary team of all time.
On the latest episode of Talk is Jericho, Chris Jericho named his former boss Vince McMahon and explained why he made such an impact on wrestling fans tuning in to watch WWE.
“I grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. I never heard Gordon Solie’s voice ever to this, so I didn’t hear Gordon Solie. Jesse the Body and Vince McMahon are the greatest commentary team of all time.”
“Jesse was kind of the first heel… [Vince] is still one of the greatest at getting over the angles he wants to get over.”
“I enjoyed the fact that Jesse would heel Vince, and deep down I knew Vince was the owner, and there was value to that. This is a small version of Austin and McMahon.”
Chris Jericho has reacted to the news that AEW has sold 60,000 tickets as the company makes its UK debut in Wembley Stadium on August 27th for All In.
Although no matches have been announced, fans will be eager to see the Jericho Appreciation Society in full force and Jericho can expect a stadium full rendition of his entrance song ‘Judas’.
