Chris Bey Issues Statement Following Neck Surgery

Chris Bey has begun his recovery.

During the latest set of TNA tapings in Detroit, Chris Bey suffered a serious injury and was taken away from the ring on a stretcher wearing a neck brace. Bey had been teaming with Ace Austin against The Hardys.

Following the taping, it was reported that Bey had undergone neck surgery and was recovering, although special details were being kept private.

This was followed by an update from TNA which revealed that Bey was in good spirits following surgery and a follow-up MRI.

Bey has now issued a short statement via TNA Wrestling, thanking fans for their support.

“I just want to take a few moments to extend my heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation for so much and to so many over the past few days. From everyone at TNA Wrestling, to the incredible medical staff here in Detroit, to family, friends and fans worldwide.

I know you have been praying for my full recovery from the in-ring accident this past Sunday. Monday was Day One for me on this journey, which I know will be long and challenging. Thanks again for the love and support, and please keep the prayers coming!”

A GoFundMe has been launched to support Chris Bey with wrestling stars such as Karrion Kross, Cody Rhodes, Nic Nemeth, Joe Hendry, Will Ospreay, QT Marshall, Jinder Mahal, Jordynne Grace, Jonathan Gresham, Danhausen, and Aaron Solo all donating to help out the TNA star.
