Chelsea Green Has No Dream Opponents For Interesting Reason
Chelsea Green has an unusual take on dream matches.
In pro wrestling, there are some topics of conversation that just never go away, and arguably, near the top of that list is the subject of dream matches. Whether that’s a final opponent for John Cena, or a legend coming back to face the likes of Cody Rhodes, it’s the discourse that will never die.
However, what’s changed in more recent years is that wrestlers are competing and staying in the industry longer than ever, meaning cross-generational matches are more likely than ever before.
Throughout 2025, Chelsea Green has been flying higher than ever, and thanks to a recent win over Giulia, she’s now a double champion. That win over Giulia returned the Women’s United States Title to her possession, while she won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Ethan Page just days earlier.
With her star shining bright, Green is a prime candidate for the dream match conversation. But it seems that she has no interest in getting involved.
While speaking to Netflix, Green explained that coming up with challengers would mean potentially losing one, if not both, of her titles. And that’s something she certainly doesn’t want to do.
“I don’t have dream opponents because I prefer to keep my titles. I would prefer to take these championship belts around the world and never have anyone challenge me for them.”
Chelsea Green Hints At Changes For 2026
During the same interview, Chelsea Green hinted for the first time that change could well be on the way in 2026. She suggested that the upcoming year would be a good one, while admitting that she’s looking to edge into deeper and darker territory with her character.
Green and Ethan Page will be back in action on the special Gold Rush edition of NXT on November 18. At the taping, they’ll defend their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail.
