Charlotte Flair Uses Backstage Influence To Get Title Match At WWE SummerSlam

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will compete in a title match at WWE SummerSlam.

The Queen and The Goddess have been working together for a few weeks. Although they insist they are not friends, the two top stars have formed what they referred to as an “Alliance of Convivence.”

At Evolution, they teamed up to compete in the Fatal 4-Way Women’s Tag Team Championship match, involving Sol Roca & Zaria, The Kabuki Warriors, and Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. However, they failed to capture the title, as The Judgment Day retained it.

Adam Pearce Gives Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss Another Title Shot At WWE SummerSlam

On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, a backstage segment saw Flair approach Bliss.

While the latter jumped to the conclusion that The Queen would want to break up their alliance, the 14-time world champion told her that, on the contrary, she had spoken to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and got them another shot at the Women’s Tag Team Title at SummerSlam.

As Bliss expressed her surprise at how easy The Queen got them the match, the 39-year-old explained to her that being in a team does not mean she is no longer Charlotte Flair.

Later on the show, The Queen defeated Raquel Rodriguez in a one-on-one match with Bliss’ help.
