Huge Charlotte Flair Pitch Rumored For Money In The Bank
There could be a Charlotte Flair appearance at Money in the Bank even though “The Queen” isn’t advertised for a match at the show.
The WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event is set to take place later today, July 1st at the O2 Arena in London, England in front of a sold out crowd.
It’s the same venue that hosted WWE Friday Night Smackdown on June 30th as a raucous crowd witnessed Asuka defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, who was looking for her 15th Women’s Championship reign in WWE.
Unfortunately for the fans in London, the Asuka-Charlotte match was not a classic battle like they have done in the past. Bianca Belair was seated in the first row, Asuka pulled her in front of a Charlotte kick and Belair went after Asuka, which led to a disqualification. Belair would go on to hit the KOD (Kiss of Death) slam on Asuka onto the commentary table. Belair did the KOD on Flair onto Asuka as well.
While none of those three talented women are advertised for Money in the Bank, Charlotte Flair could be on the card. It was reported by PWInsider Elite‘s Mike Johnson that there was a pitch being made on Friday for Charlotte to replace Zelina Vega in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. It was noted by Johnson there was “no word whether that’s moving forward” so consider it a rumor at this point.
The six women in the Money in the Bank Ladder match are WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, Bayley, Zoey Stark, Bayley, IYO SKY and Zelina Vega. Whether Charlotte Flair gets added to it or replaces Vega, we will find out at Money in the Bank.
