Charlotte Flair Discusses WWE Absence

Charlotte Flair entrance

Charlotte Flair has addressed her absence from WWE and says that time away from the ring is both a “blessing and a curse.”

At WrestleMania 39, Charlotte Flair lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to 2023 Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley. PWInsider reported that following the loss, Flair was set for some time away from the company and would be traveling with her husband and AEW star Andrade El Idolo:

This absence comes following Flair taking the last seven months of 2022 off due to injury before returning on the final SmackDown of the year to defeat Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Speaking to Boardroom, Charlotte Flair addressed her absence and says that she had something she needed to take care of during her time off:

“For me, I went from having never any off-days to getting injured last year after WrestleMania and being off for seven months, and then now off again for a couple weeks for something that I needed to take care of, so it’s a blessing and a curse. Like, no one wants to be injured, but having that first time off for that extended amount of time, I think was definitely healthy for my mindset.”

Although absent from WWE for the time being, The Queen is set to make an unusual appearance at SuperHole IV.
