Bryan Danielson should be wrapped in cotton wool according to some fans and after his latest AEW match, even more might agree with that sentiment.

Bryan Danielson has had a tough 2023 to say the very least. The American Dragon suffered a broken arm during his match with Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door which kept him off the All In show at Wembley Stadium. CM Punk was fired by AEW after that event which seemed to hasten Danielson’s return to the ring as he took Punk’s place at All Out where he faced Ricky Starks.

He might well have expected to have to fill in as it has since emerged that Bryan Danielson had a role in CM Punk being fired by AEW.

Danielson suffered a broken orbital bone against Andrade El Idolo in October which many believed would keep him out of action for some time. Despite that injury, Bryan Danielson issued a challenge to Kazuchika Okada for Wrestle Kingdom and even more shockingly was announced as part of the Continental Classic round-robin tournament.

Bryan Danielson Leaves AEW Fans Worried

On the 5th of December, AEW Collision was taped in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and will air on the 9th of December. That show saw Danielson face off with El Idolo once again in the Classic with El Idolo picking up the win. Danielson was seen bleeding from above the eye during the bout and given the nature of his face injury, many were worried about his condition.

Fightful Select has now reported that despite the concern, the injury Danielson was selling at the show was part of a storyline and he is not expected to miss any time from the ring. Danielson is also said to be attending the Dynamite taping in Montreal on the 6th of December.
