Bryan Danielson Names His Favourite AEW Matches

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has named the AEW matches he’s most proud of.

Since signing with AEW in September 2021, Bryan Danielson has been on a mission to prove he’s still the best professional wrestler on the planet.

Although Danielson hasn’t won the World Championship he’s challenged for the gold more than once, and gone toe-to-toe with the very best that the company has to offer.

With his full-time in-ring career beginning to come to a close, fans and wrestlers alike have been full of praise for Danielson’s time in AEW.

Speaking in a new interview with DAZN, Danielson broke down his favourite four matches since joining the Tony Khan-led promotion. The American Dragon named his matches with Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, Jon Moxley, and Ricky Starks as ones that stand out for a variety of reasons.

“I really love the match I had with Moxley the night the Blackpool Combat Club was kind of formed where Regal comes out as it’s a special moment for me,”

I love the first one with Kenny Omega. I’m gonna name four. I actually love the Okada match. When you do something that is really hard, it has a special place in your heart. That was the Okada match. I broke my arm and wrestled for another ten minutes. That’s very rewarding.

The other one, and this is someone who I think is fantastic, the strap match that I had with Ricky Starks. I love that match and I think Ricky Starks is fantastic. I love wrestling him.”

Bryan Danielson Fine Despite Injury Scare

At the recent December 5th AEW Collision taping Danielson met Andrade El Idolo in the Continental Classic with Andrade picking up the win. During the match Danielson was seen bleeding from his already-injured eye, sparking concern among fans.

However, it’s since been reported that Bryan Danielson is fine, and the fresh injury was just a storyline.
