Broken Matt Hardy & Brother Nero Awoken On WWE NXT

There was an awakening on NXT as the Broken Universe made its return to WWE.

NXT Showdown saw a major double title match made as NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState clashed with TNA Tag Team Champions, The Hardys. And when all was said and done, Matt and Jeff Hardy made history.

Matt Hardy pulled off a Twist of Fate on both Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox before Jeff hit a huge Swanton Bomb and pinned Lennox to claim the gold. This made The Hardys double champions heading into their One Final Table match with Team 3D/The Dudley Boyz at Bound For Glory.

The Hardys picked up the win in that match, and afterwards, WWE Hall of Famers The Dudleyz handed over their boots, signalling that they were now retired from the ring.

Broken Matt & Brother Nero Return To WWE

Now, on the October 21st edition of WWE NXT, The Hardys have been forced to look to the future again as DarkState want the NXT Tag Team Championship back. A vignette aired on the show featuring Matt and Jeff Hardy entering the infamous Lake of Reincarnation and then emerging as Broken Matt and Brother Nero. Matt Hardy’s children, including King Maxel, Reby Hardy and Señor Benjamin, all appeared as Broken Matt issued a challenge for a Broken Rules match for their tag team match with DarkState at Halloween Havoc.
