Brock Lesnar Tipped For First-Time-Ever Clash At WWE WrestleMania
Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025.
The last time Lesnar was seen in WWE was at WrestlePalooza, where he brutalized John Cena in a singles match. His next stop is rumored to be Survivor Series, where he’s reportedly going to be a part of the WarGames match.
Lesnar was also featured in the WrestleMania 42 teaser trailer alongside other top names in the company like Triple H, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Paul Heyman, and Roman Reigns. This means it’s very likely that he’ll be a part of the event.
Speaking of which, Sam Roberts on Notsam Wrestling recently shared that he’d like to see Bron Breakker face The Beast Incarnate in a first-time-ever singles match at Mania 42. Roberts explained that he wanted to see John Cena give Breakker a huge push in his retirement tour, but that seems unlikely to happen, so he thinks Lesnar should be the one to do it instead.
I don’t see a path for Bron Breaker to get a match with John Cena. I’d prefer Bron Breaker to be the one that faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania because then you’re building somebody else. And now, eventually, you’ve got a scenario where maybe you could do Gunther versus Brock Lesnar. You could also do Gunther versus Braun Breaker after Braun Breaker has been the one guy that can beat this version of Brock Lesnar. (From 5:35)
Guther Vs Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42?
Another name that is in demand to go up against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 is none other than Gunther. The Ring General was reportedly scheduled to face The Conqueror at WrestleMania 40. But Lesnar’s involvement in the Vince McMahon lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant hindered the plan.
Now that Lesnar is back, WWE could book the two juggernauts against each other at The Grandest Stage of Them All next year. For those unaware, Gunther is currently out of action since he last faced CM Punk at SummerSlam. He is rumored to return to action soon.
