Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns Current WWE Plans Revealed
A new report has provided an update on the storyline between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar and whether they’ll meet face to face before WWE SummerSlam.
On July 30th at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar will clash with Roman Reigns once again, this time with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line. The bout will be a Last Man Standing Match and is being billed as the final time that the pair will meet in a WWE ring.
Since Lesnar returned to SmackDown back in June and attacked The Tribal Chief, the two men have not appeared in the ring together on the road to SummerSlam.
According to a new report, this isn’t about to change anytime soon. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has claimed that the two will not be on the same show until the Biggest Party Of The Summer rolls into Nashville.
“The interesting main event strategy is that aside from the angle shot when Lesnar returned and laid out Reigns, it has been to keep the two apart. Unless plans change, the two will not be on the same in the entire last month of the build. Lesnar is advertised for Smackdown on 7/22 in Boston and 7/29 in Atlanta.
Reigns is only advertised this week for the 7/25 Raw show in Madison Square Garden. One would think they would have Reigns in Atlanta for the Smackdown go-home show. Not only is he not advertised but as of a few times ago he was not planned for that show.”
Although SummerSlam is less than two weeks away, it has been reported that backstage figures in WWE “don’t like” the card for the show. This is despite those same officials people being responsible for booking the event.
