Brock Lesnar “Ready To Quit” WWE
Brock Lesnar’s WWE future has been cast in increasing doubt recently despite the star being scheduled for a big match at WrestleMania 39.
The first signs that Lesnar could be looking for a way out of WWE came back in July 2022 when Vince McMahon stunned the world by announcing his retirement. The news came as a shock to Brock Lesnar as well who reportedly left that day’s SmackDown show before being convinced to return.
However, Lesnar’s old rival Kurt Angle doesn’t think that Triple H running the show in WWE has anything to do with the former WWE Champion wanting to wind down his career. In an interview with Rewind Recap Relive, Angle says he believes Brock Lesnar just wants to call it a day:
“You know what, Triple H is a great leader. He’s a great boss. I don’t have a problem with him. I don’t think anybody has a problem with him. Vince was different, yeah. Vince was unique. He was one of a kind, nobody else like him, cared very much about his talent so does Triple H though.
“I mean, I’m not gonna knock Triple H because if anybody was gonna replace Vince it was gonna be Triple H and Stephanie. And you know, that’s basically what they did. So, I don’t think Triple H is the reason why Brock’s retiring. I don’t believe that for a second. I just believe that Brock’s had enough. He’s ready to quit. He’s ready to retire.”
Brock Lesnar reportedly nixed a proposed match with Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 39 and instead agreed to a match with Omos. This will be the first ‘Mania Lesnar has competed at since 2019 where he has not headlined the show.
